There is no doubt that the pandemic has contributed to a surge of people looking to move to Swansea.

And it isn’t surprising – with our beautiful parks, countryside, and beaches, and the investments being made in the city centre, Swansea is a very attractive place to be.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen steadily accelerating growth in average asking rents across the city, with (lack of) supply being the main driving factor. This month, though, supply is up across all property types – though not back up to pre-pandemic levels. Looking at the listings on Zoopla, this may be due to an influx of small student lets coming to market for the next academic year.

How much is your property worth?

The average asking rent for Swansea is currently £1,128pcm. This is up 0.62% from October 2021, and up 29.39% compared to November 2020.

There are currently 761 properties available to let. This is up 197.27% from October 2021, but down 39.98% compared to November 2020.
