As some of you may be aware, last year I took the plunge and launched The Landlord Community, helping landlords not only in Swansea but all over Wales.
Why?
Because as a Rent Smart Wales consultant trainer and Letting Agency owner, I saw how tough it was for landlords to wrap their heads around the Renting Homes Act changes. I wanted to cut through the legal jargon and fluff and give self-managing landlords like so many of you practical, no-nonsense advice and training for everyday situations.
Ultimately, we need good landlords sticking around in the PRS to help ease the housing crisis and keep rents stable. If I can help with that, even just a bit, I’m proud to do so.
But, despite running courses, I’m still seeing landlords struggling with the tenancy conversion process which ended last June. It’s worrying.
Making Waves: The Universal Written Statement
Just after we decided to do our online courses, TFP Online (our legal forms provider) approached us with a game-changer—the ‘universal written statement’. We estimate this document helped us help landlords in Wales convert over 1,000 successful tenancy conversions in just six weeks! That’s a big win for us and for all those landlords out there.
What’s Coming in 2024 and Beyond
Looking ahead, we’ve got some exciting stuff lined up at The Landlord Community which I wanted to share with you today. We’re talking industry expert podcasts, blogs, online easy access courses (working in conjunction with Rent Smart Wales to add to your CPD), and a super re-launch to show off all these cool updates.
