Christmas Competition & Charity Appeal

Every year, there is a Christmas Window Display Competition for the businesses on Gower Road in Killay.

It’s run by Killay Community Council. Although we always decorate our office for the holidays, this is the first time in the 12 years we’ve had an office on Gower Road that we’ve managed to get our decorations up in time to enter the competition! Photos of previous years’ winners can be found here.

Not only that, we’ve decided to take it one step further this year and are using our window display to run our own Christmas competition – Name that Christmas Film!

If you’re passing our office in the next few weeks, you will spot some famous (and hopefully familiar) houses for let in our office window. They’re not really for let, of course – they’re from some classic Christmas films (and one Hallowe’en film – that one’s reduced, of course). Where there would usually be some details about the house (number of bedrooms, special features, etc), we’ve tried to come up with a couple of clues to help you work them out.

The display has been up for a few days now, and we’re already seen people stopping and having some proper big belly laughs outside our office (we can see you!), and we hope you’ll join in the fun.

UPDATE: You can now play online – click here to view the cards and submit your answers.

If you can name all 8 films these houses appear in and submit the answers to us before 1pm on 17th December 2021, you’ll be in with a chance to win a hamper from local independent business Deli Cymreig, based in Swansea Market. Details on how to enter and where to submit your details to are also in the window, and there’s no limit to the amount of times you can enter.

For every entry we receive, we will donate £1 to Sketty Food Bank to help families in need this winter. Our food banks do invaluable work, and we’re proud to support them. For further information about the locations, opening times, and how to donate, click here.

Of course, we’re still advertising real properties to let on the property portal sites, our website, and our social media. If you have a property to let, please don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’d be happy to make an appointment for you to pop into the office for a chat.
